Batanga cocktail: a recipe reminiscent of Cuba Libre.


For 1 person
5 cl tequila
9 cl cola
1 half lime

How to make

Technique: straight to the glass / Glass: highball / Type: long drink (15cl) / Time: 4 mn
  1. Rim the glass with salt.

  2. Fill half the glass with ice cubes.

  3. Pour the tequila.

  4. Squeeze half a lime into the glass.

  5. Complete with cola.

  6. Stir with a mixing spoon.


The Batanga cocktail was created in the 1950s, by Don Javier Delgado Corona, the owner of the La Capilla bar in Mexico.
