The Fog Horn cocktail was published by Tom Bullock in 1917 in "The Ideal Bartender" which called for the use of Old Tom Gin in his recipe.
The above recipe is the common recipe made by bartenders today, below is the original recipe as published in 1917 which was a bit more complex.
Combine in a mixing glass half-filled with ice:
- 4 cl of gin
- 2 cl of lemon juice
- 1.5 cl of lime juice
- 1 tsp of sugar
Strain into a glass, then top up with the ginger ale.
